Show Music Core Episode 906
MBC’s Show Music Core (Episode 906) continued the weekend, Saturday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the quantity and quality of the groups performances. NINA and KIOF performed today and throughout the week. But strangely, there were a lot of groups that dropped music on Monday, but didn’t perform until Thursday. Even more strangely, HEARTS2HEARTS performed on Thursday’s music show, missed Friday’s music show, but then performed today, Saturday. They had a prior engagement on Friday so had to miss it.
Speaking of HEARTS2HEARTS, they performed their comeback track “STYLE”. All members stood out wearing all white (with one of the members as co-host of the Show Music Core). However, Carmen, the only Indonesian member, stood out a bit more due to her hairstyle of dual pucca shells and also due to her high notes and musicality throughout the performance. Also, Jiwoo, the leader, stood out a bit more for her bob cut and getting the second ending fairy, giving us puppy ears, turning into a baby crying with two fists in their eyes.
Next, KIIRAS performed their comeback track “ZILLER”. All members stood out wearing a top that spelled out KIIRAS. But, Kurumi, the only Japanese member, stood out a bit more with her wearing a boyfriend collared shirt and her vocal performance as the main vocalist of the group. Also, Ling Ling, the only Malaysian member, stood out for wearing a beanie and her stage presence. She grew a lot from her performances on ILAND2 and I look forward to short form collabs with izna, the group that formed from ILAND2. I don’t think Ling Ling and izna did a lot of dance challenges together but I hope that changes with this comeback. Ling Ling also shared the ending fairy, doing punches to the camera.
Then, USPEER continued their debut promotion and performed “ZOOM”. Yeowon, the leader, stood out with her large striped navy blue and pink top. Yeowon and Soee, the main vocalist, stood out for their musicality and stage presence. Also, Soee stood out for her black and white thin striped shirt and her ending fairy where she started it off with a hair flip which transformed into a heart bow and arrow shot.
Next, Baby DONT Cry debuted and performed two songs, their debut title track “F Girl” and their pre-debut track “Bet You’ll Regret It”. This is the P Nation group produced by Seoyeon of I-DLE and they dropped music on Monday, didn’t start music shows until Thursday, so this is only their third performance. For both songs, Yihyun, their leader, stood out for her musicality, stage presence, and her ending fairy, giving us a drawn heart and a point with her index finger.
Then H1-KEY performed their comeback title track “Summer was you”. Seoi, the leader, stood out in a pink top. Also, Riina stood out in a white collared shirt and with her stage presence. She showed her experience from being on reality shows, PD48 and Queendom.
Then, Fromis9 performed their comeback track “LIKE YOU BETTER”. ChaeYoung stood out with her hair dyed platinum blonde and her shirt with a pic of a dalmatian. Also, they used her pic as the ending fairy as the thumbnail. As the first ending fairy, she gave us a really simple but effective claws with both hands.
Next, ILLIT performed their comeback “Do the dance”. All five members stood out wearing all pink and Wonhee and Moka wearing a diadem. Moka, one of the Japanese members, stood out for her musicality and stage presence.
Finally, izna performed their comeback “BEEP”. Bang Jeemin, the leader, stood out with her bangs again. With her bangs, she looks a lot like Eunchae from Le Sserafim. Also, she gave us the first ending fairy, with a hair flip, wink, blew a kiss, and then waved. I look forward to izna, ILLIT, and KIIRAS members to do short form dance challenges together.
