Music Bank Episode 1255
KBS’ Music Bank (Episode 1255) started off the weekend, Friday, with one of the better music shows of the year, in terms of quantity and quality of the groups performing. It does look like a new strategy was set for 2025. Groups will drop music on Monday, skip Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s music shows, and start on Thursday or Friday’s Music Bank. Some groups will go on the second week, some will go the third week, and some will skip the early week shows altogether. First, VIVIZ, and Twice dropped music earlier in the week, but today’s Music Bank is the first or second time that they’ve performed their song.
Next, HITGS continued their comeback and performed “CHARIZZMA”. They dropped music on Monday but this music show, Music Bank, was only the second music show they were on. However, I can’t be too strict with them. They’ve put out three albums in a span of two and a half months. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out with her white top. Also, they were on the interview show after Music Bank.
Then Baby DONT Cry (BDC) continued their debut and performed “F Girl”. After two weeks of not performing on Tues-Wed music shows, BDC has finally performed all week including this Friday’s Music Bank. Yihyun, their leader, stood out in her outfit which was an oversized sweater in black and red. Also, she did the move where she was pulled across the floor which stood out.
Next, Rescene continued their comeback and performed “Deja Vu”. For the second week of promotions, Rescene has not skipped Tues-Wed so they look a little tired on Music Bank on Friday. Minami, the only Japanese member, stood out for her stage presence, gained from her time on the survival show “MTG”. Minami also got to do the first ending fairy, where she gave us a claw, puffed out cheeks, and a smile.
Then, ILLIT continued their comeback promotions and performed their B-side track “Jellyous”. Minju, the main vocal and co-host of Music Bank, of course stood out, due to her being the only one in white tights. She also got the final ending fairy, by pinching her cheek, eating it, saying it tastes good, double waving, doing a jellyous mustache, and double claws.
Next, H1-KEY continued their comeback and performed “Summer was you”. I have to give credit to H1-KEY and their members for promoting on every music show for the past two to three weeks. Hwiseo, the main vocal, stood out with her stage presence, gained from winning the survival show ‘Queendom Puzzle”. Stan H1-KEY!
Finally, Aespa continued their comeback and performed “Dirty Work”. This was only the second time they performed on a music show this week. They also got to do one of the interviews with ILLIT members. Although all members stood out, Ning Ning, the only Chinese member, stood out a bit more for her stage presence. In an upset, they didn’t win Music Bank today.
