Show Music Core Episode 907
MBC’s Show Music Core (Episode 907) continued the weekend, Saturday, with one of the better music shows of the year, in terms of quantity and quality of the groups performing. It does look like a new strategy was set for 2025. Groups will drop music on Monday or Wednesday, skip Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s music shows, and start on Thursday or Friday’s music show. Some groups will go on the second week, some will go the third week, and some will skip the early week shows altogether. First, VIVIZ, and Twice dropped music earlier in the week, but today’s Show Music Core is only the second or third time that they’ve performed their song.
Next, HITGS continued with their third promotion in two months, and performed “CHARIZZMA”. They dropped the song on Monday, and skipped some shows, making this only their third time performing this song. But I’m giving them slack since they've been promoting since late April with only short breaks between promotions. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out due to her being the only one being in all white and red tennis shoes. She also got the first ending fairy, giving us a move of one of her ponytails, a double bunny sign, and then double boing boing.
Then, BDC continued their debut and performed “F Girl”. This is their third week of promotions and they didn’t skip any music shows this week, unlike their first two weeks, so they look a little tired today. Yihyun, their leader, stood out with her stage presence and the move where she’s sitting and being dragged across the floor.
Next, ILLIT continued their comeback and performed “Jellyous”, their B-side. They dropped the music video last week Monday, but haven’t performed on Tuesday’s or Wednesday's music shows, so they look fresher than BDC. Yunah, their leader, stood out due to her being the only one wearing polka dot tights. Also, Moka, one of two Japanese members, stood out too, being the only one wearing a white head band with a pony tail. Also, Moka was the first ending fairy, giving us cat claws by the side of her cheeks.
Finally, Aespa continued their comeback and performed “Dirty Work”. This was only the third time they performed on a music show this week. They also got to do one of the interviews with the member from H2H who is also from SM. Although all members stood out, Ning Ning, the only Chinese member, stood out a bit more for her interview and stage presence. And Aespa won first place!
