Music Bank Episode 1252
KBS’ Music Bank started the weekend, Friday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the amount of performers they had. First, ARTMS, KIOF, and ITZY performed during the show. Next, USPEER continued their debut promotions and performed their song “ZOOM”. Yeowon, their leader, stood out due to her outfit, being the only one to wear a white shirt w/o a tie. Also, Yeowon was the only one holding a hand mic, making it harder to perform, but she performed with flying colors.
Then, VVUP, with a new member in place of Hyunny, performed their comeback “Giddy Boy”. VVUP dropped music today Friday, then performed on the music show, which may show a new strategy for dropping music, by combining Western preferences for Friday and then performing on a Korean music show. KIm, the only Indonesian member, stood out due to her darker blue, black, and purple outfit and getting the final ending fairy, giving us an index finger in the air and an attitude head roll.
Next, HEARTS2HEARTS, who didn’t perform on Tues and Wed, performed their comeback “STYLE”. They had a comeback two months after they finished their debut promotions, so that was quick. They even got one of the interview spots and they were interviewed by the co-host Minju from ILLIT. In both the interview and performance, Jiwoo, the leader, stood out with her bob haircut and first ending fairy, blowing a kiss to the crowd. They must have prepared more for this comeback, even in such a short time, since all eight members got fancams, four facecams, and they all looked great.
Then, with an even faster comeback than that (two weeks), HITGS performed their comeback “GROSS”. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out due to her hair changing from a bob cut to long hair halfway through this promotion. One sad point for the whole group: Even though it’s been half a day, they still haven’t posted their performance on yt. Let’s support HITGS.
Next, ILLIT performed their comeback on their second music show, the track “Do the Dance”. The whole group stood out with all five getting fancams, face cams, and even an interview. The interview was meta, with Minju, the co-host of Music Bank, interviewing herself and her group mates. She also got the final ending fairy, showing one cat ear, double kisses, and mouthing “Sarang hae”.
Finally, izna continued their comeback promotions and performed “BEEP”. Bang Jeemin, their leader, stood out for her outfit being the only one in a gray top and sharing the final ending fairy with KoKo, signaling their duo’s fandom name for them “JeemKongs”. Also, since she was part of “ILand2” and “RU Next”, I’m hoping to see some short form dance challenge collabs with Bang Jeemin and ILLIT.
This music show was packed and I wanted to write about ARTMS and ITZY (who got a ton of fancams and facecams). But let me know if you want a part two about ARTMS and ITZY. Congrats to all the performers!
