Show Music Core Episode 905
MBC’s Show Music Core started the weekend, Saturday, with one of the best music shows of the year in terms of quantity and quality of groups that performed. ARTMS, KIOF, ITZY, performed throughout the show.
First, VVUP with four members but a replacement for Hyunny, performed their comeback title track “Giddy Boy”. Kim, the only Indonesian member, stood out being one of two who wore all white with a white beanie. My eyes kept on following her, just like the beanie she wore had two eyes on it.
Next, USPEER performed their debut title track “ZOOM”. Yeowon, the leader, stood out being one of two in a solid grey skirt and, since she’s the oldest, having the best stage and facial presence out of all of them. Many times, I was looking at Yeowon, although she wasn’t the center, making her performance enjoyable and stand out.
Then, HITGS performed their faster than H2H comeback song “GROSS”. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out in a striped red shirt and her hair which magically changed from a bob cut halfway through the comeback promotions. Also, my eye went to VV, even though she wasn’t always in the center, which shows she has performance abilities.
Next, HEARTS2HEARTS performed their quick comeback title track “STYLE”. A-na, a member of this group is also a co-host of this music show. Since, they had a comeback this week, and promoted their new song, they got an interview. So, A-na interviewed her group members and was interviewed at the same time. But Carmen, the only Indonesian member, stood out where she was the only one wearing a red cap. She wore the red cap backwards and stood out even when she wasn’t in the center.
Then izna continued their comeback promotions and performed their title track “BEEP”. Bang Jeemin, their leader, stood out with a red design on her shirt, while her members wore mostly white and blue. My eye was always on her even though she wasn’t always in the center. Her experience from survival shows “RU Next” and “ILAND2” really shows in her performances.
Finally, ILLIT, the group formed from “RU Next” performed their comeback title track “Do the Dance”. They even got the other interview. Both Yunah and Minju stood out. Yunah, their leader, stood out for her height. Minju, also a co-host of a music show and her own variety show, showed why she has all these activities outside of the team. Also, I hope we see some collabs between Yunah, Minju, and izna’s Bang Jeemin since they did the iconic “RU Next” performance. I’ll also provide that link.
