M Countdown Episode 893
Mnet’s M Countdown started the early weekend, Thursday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the amazing amount of groups that debuted and performed comebacks. First, ARTMS, KIOF, and ITZY performed throughout the show.
Next, USPEER continued their debut promotions and performed “ZOOM”. Yeowon, the leader, stood out due to her being the only one wearing black cargo pants with no jacket. She also gave the best dance performance.
Then, HEARTS2HEARTS cameback after three months (but missed Tues and Wed music shows) and promoted their new song “STYLE” which they released on Monday. They even got one of the interviews. Their leader, Jiwoo, stood out for having a bob haircut and wearing a shirt that said, “The Best Lucky Girl”. Carmen, the only Indonesian member, stood out for being the only one to wear a balloon ballerina skirt in white. Also, she was the best dancer. Jiwoo, the leader and second oldest, got to be the final ending fairy, giving us puppy ears, claws, and then waves.
Next, if you thought H2H cameback fast, HITGS cameback in one to two weeks after their debut promotions ended, with “GROSS”. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out due to wearing a red top while others wore less stand out colors. She also changed her hair from a bob cut to long hair between weeks during this promotion period
Then, QWER. an all girl band performed their comeback title track “DEAR”. All the band members, Hina, Magenta, Siyeon, Chodan, stood out. But Chodan stood out a bit more for playing the drums, getting back to performing after having a health break, and being the final ending fairy, using her fist to rub her cheek, mimicking crying.
Next, ILLIT performed their comeback for the first time with “Do the Dance” (they also missed Tues and Wed’s shows). They even got one of the interview spots! Minju stood out during the interview and the performance due to her outfit being a fully pastel mint green dress. Due to Minju’s experience as a host of a music show, her intro was the most poised and put together.
Finally, izna continued their comeback promotions of their song “BEEP”. Bang Jeemin, their leader, stood out being the only one wearing a jacket. She also was one of the last ending fairies, blowing a kiss and making half a heart shared with KoKo. Since she competed in “RU Next” the show that made ILLIT and “ILand2” the show that made izna, I’m hoping to see collabs between ILLIT and izna.
