Show Champion Episode 564
MBC’s Show Champion (Episode 564) started off the mid-week, Wednesday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the amount and quality of performances. Also, since Tuesday’s music show was a no show, Show Champion had to pull double duty as the appetizer of the Kpop music show week and the anchor of the mid-week. Also, it does look like a new strategy was set for 2025. Groups will drop music on Monday or Wednesday, skip Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s music shows, and start on Thursday or Friday’s music show. Some groups will go on the second week, some will go the third week, and some will skip the early week shows altogether. First, Jeon Somi showcased new music on Monday last week, but today’s Show Champion was the first time she performed on Show Champion, skipping last week's show.
Next, ifeye performed their comeback title track “r u ok?”. They dropped the music last Monday, skipped Tuesday and Wednesday last week, and are now performing for the first time on this Wednesday’s Show Champion. Won Hwayeon, the vocalist, stood out with her strawberry blonde hair. She even has the song line, “Just keep me spinning Monday to Sunday” which reminds me of K music shows! She also was the only one in a forest green outfit. Also, they used her pic as the thumbnail and Won Hwayeon was the second ending fairy, giving us a hand sign of “r u ok?”, cupping her face like a flower, and blinking while smiling.
Then, RESCENE performed their comeback “Deja Vu”. Woni, their leader, shined more due to her musicality and stage performance. Also, Woni seemed to have an issue with her head mic since she was fixing it during the latter half of the performance. But she was a professional and didn’t let her mic issues show. Woni was also the second ending fairy, with a flip of her hair, a double cat claw, double cat ears, and double TT tears with a small pout showing that it was their last performance.
Also, all the Rescene members had red hearts in their palms showing love for their Remine’s as this is their last performance.
Finally, Purple Kiss performed their comeback “DOREMI”. Yuki, the only Japanese member, shined due to her singing even though she’s the rapper. Also, she is the only one with straight black hair with two antennae coming down the sides of her face.
