Show Champion Episode 561

MBC’s Show Champion (Episode 381) started off the week with a skippable show, except for two performances. There seems to be a changed strategy where semi-famous groups will drop music on Monday, skip Tuesday and Wednesday, start on Thursday’s music show and finish up on Tuesday at the end of their promotions. The groups that didn’t perform show us where the level is (Baby DONT Cry, VVUP, and HEARTS2HEARTS) But first, Nina, Bada, and Wish sang throughout the show.

The only performers to matter, H1-Key performed two songs, their comeback title track “Summer Was You”, and their B-side “Good for U”. They even got an interview! Hwiseo, the replacement, stood out on the B-side due to them using her pic as the thumbnail and for getting the ending fairy, giving us a thumbs up and pointing at the camera, as in “Good for U”, and a final wave at the camera. Hwiseo’s experience winning Queendom Puzzle showed throughout both performances. Riina, who also participated in Queendom Puzzle, stood out on the title track performance. They used her pic as the thumbnail and got the ending fairy, giving us a “fighting” and a double kiss. Her experience on Queendom Puzzle and Produce48 really shined through.

Although this music show was not that great, the two performances should be watched. There are semi-famous groups that will skip Tuesday and Wednesday’s music shows. However, this gives a chance to nugu groups to have a music show for them. So check out Show Champion if you want to discover new nugu groups. And congrats to all the performers!
