Music Bank Episode 1256
KBS’ Music Bank (Episode 1256) started off the weekend, Friday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the amount and quality of performances there were. And surprisingly, some groups that didn’t perform on Thursday performed on Friday, like H1-KEY and RESCENE.
First, Baby DONT Cry (BDC) continued their debut promotions and performed “F Girl”. Yihyun, the leader, shined the most due to her musicality, stage presence, and her white head scarf. Yihyun also does a great move where she’s sitting, dragged across the stage, while singing the whole time!
Next, ifeye performed their comeback “r u ok?” This is their second performance on a music show after having a showcase on Monday. Won Hwayeon, the vocalist, shined due to her strawberry blonde hair and stage presence. Also, she wore a white top that said “OKOKOK”. This group proves there’s a new dynamic in 2025 where groups will drop music on Monday, and then perform on Music Bank second.
Then, HITGS continued their comeback and performed their song “CHARIZZMA”. VV, the only Chinese member, stood out for her outfit of white pants. Her hair was also in a high pony with a long ponytail, whereas in the music video she has a bob cut. Also, they used her profile pic as the thumbnail. Finally, VV was the first ending fairy, giving us kitty double ears, and a cat claw.
Next, RESCENE surprisingly performed their comeback “Deja Vu”. They missed Thursday’s music show and Woni, their leader, missed Tuesday’s music show due to health reasons. But, with Woni there, the whole group stood out. They were all using hand mics and dancing the choreo. Woni gave us the first ending fairy, fixing her hair first and giving us a cat claw.
Then, in another surprise, H1-KEY, who missed Thursday, also performed on Friday’s Music Bank. All the members stood out with red and white themed summer outfits. Riina shined a bit more with a striped red and white top. Also, she was the first ending fairy and did TT tears and mouthed “Last performance” in Korean. Hwiseo also shined, being the last ending fairy and saying “Sarang hae” to their fan club. Also, I spotted short form dance challenges between Hwiseo and Purple Kiss’ Yuki, who are both on Queendom Puzzle and EL7UP.
Speaking of Purple Kiss, they performed their comeback “DOREMI”. They also dropped music on Monday but this is only the second time performing on a music show. Yuki, the only Japanese member, stood out for her stage presence and singing ability, especially since she’s the group's rapper and sang parts of this song. Also, she was the only one wearing red socks, which I noticed on her dance challenges with Hwiseo of H1-KEY.
Finally, ILLIT performed their B-side “jellyous” for the second week of promotions.The choreo is insane, and both Minju, the co-host of Music Bank and Moka, one of the Japanese members, shined more since they have to do that insane choreo and extra work. Moka has to deal with health issues but also shined due to her orange jumpsuit. Moka was also the first ending fairy giving us double cheek hearts, and finger hearts. Minju as Bank President (co-host of Music Bank) shined due to them using her pic as the thumbnail. Also, she was the last ending fairy, signing “jellyous”, giving us a playful punch, and then a wave goodbye.
