K Music Shows Core - MBC’s Show Music Core and MBC’s “it’s Live”

As we had no show today and we’ve crossed the halfway point of the year, let’s talk about the secondary channels for the last couple networks, notably MBC with MBC’s Show Music Core and It’s Live. First, why do groups do so many music shows? Because music show performances promote the song.

Also, it’s for secondary videos that have a chance to go viral. The secondary videos from K music shows are as important as the main video performances. Sometimes they’re on the same channel and sometimes, they’re on a secondary channel.

Saturday - MBC’s Show Music Core doesn’t have an official secondary channel. But, they post all fan cams, face cams, and full cams on the same channel. They’ll also do “Stage Mixs” which are a mix of all the stages from Show Music Core and edited for one song.

Let’s talk about “It’s Live” https://www.youtube.com/@itsLiveOfficial

Not many realize that “it’s Live” is part of the MBC family. But the business contact on the yt channel is “itslive at mbc.co.kr”. My guess is that when they film for Show Music Core, they also film for “It’s Live”. For the show, “It’s Live”, it starts off with the artist entering stage left. They introduce themselves as a group and if it’s their first time there, they intro themselves individually. Then they intro the song and prepare to sing. They sing with a live band behind them providing live music, hence the title “It’s Live”. Sometimes, they’ll post a “One Cam Ver.” which is just the song and filmed with one cam.
