K Music Shows Core UPDATE 1
It’s been a while since discussing K music shows core concept of dropping mvs on Monday, then having six music shows to go on, and performing for the whole week.
SBS and SBS’ secondary channel has gone through the biggest updates. First, SBS Inkigayo will be off Dec 14, Dec 21, and Dec 28, 2025. Second, Leeseo, maknae of IVE, is stepping down as host of SBS Inkigayo. Her last day as host was Sunday, Dec 7, 2025 which I’ll detail in the dailies. Also, the secondary channel, previously called SBS Music/MTV, now called SBS FunE, has ended The Show. Officially, it’s the end of 2025 programming. But many people are speculating that The Show has officially ended. I’m going to believe in this 50/50, where I’ll still consider The Show on hiatus, but will fill the daily blog Tuesday slot with a new article. As for now, here’s the schedule:

By dropping mvs on Monday, it gave a window to The Show on Tuesday. However, in the last half of the year, even if the mv was dropped on Monday, most groups would start with Mnet’s M Countdown on Thursday and perform for four days. They would skip Tuesday’s The Show and Wednesday’s Show Champion for two weeks, and then after the end of the second week, they would finish on either The Show or Show Champion. So, rather than doing two weeks of six shows, they did two weeks of four shows, and then did four shows which included The Show. Now with The Show cancelled, Show Champion becomes the last show to be on.
