M2 ILLIT debut - Episode 1

I want to start where a possible generation starts. Even though some may disagree, I see ILLIT as a start of generation five, and it fits into the beginning of 2024 where this blog starts, with ILLIT debuting in the beginning of 2024. At the time two members were minors during their debut (and one is still a minor), so I will not write about them specifically. They did a full on debut special on M2 channel which is Mnet’s secondary channel. The debut special was over an hour with four music performances cut inside. They broke apart the whole debut show and made clips of the performances. I’m going to focus on three that were the best.
First, the monster hit from ILLIT, “Magnetic”, was performed on a stage with fireworks and great stage settings. Their outfits were dreamy and matched the song perfectly. Although there may be differing opinions, for this performance, Yunah, the leader, shined the most. She’s the tallest, so whenever it was a group shot, she stood out. She was the only one in white tights, which made her dancing shine. Based on her experience on the show “RU NEXT”, she seemed to be the most idol ready trainee and it showed on this first stage of “MAGNETIC”. They all did the ending fairy with Yunah being the third one, giving us double cheek hearts, double hand hearts, double cute claws, and an “ang” as if the claws were going to cutely capture the audience.
Next, ILLIT performed their popular b-side “Lucky Girl Syndrome” on a beautiful stage made to look like a cute crosswalk in Paris, or Seoul. In this performance all the members stood out in their sporty outfits, but Minju shined more. She was the only one in a yellow top which made her dancing stand out. And when her dancing shined, it made her singing shine, and then found out she’s the main vocal! During the final ending fairy, everyone was lying on the ground, and Minju placed her chin on her hand, and gave us a great smile. Lastly, they used her pic as the thumbnail.
Finally, ILLIT performed “My World”, again on a beautiful stage also again with beautiful stage dressing. They were all outfitted in white shirts and dark denim jeans. For some reason, my eye was drawn to Moka. She was the only one with a pony tail and only one braid of her hair. Moka, who’s only one of two who are Japanese, shined with her expressions and dancing. They also use her pic as the thumbnail of the utube video. Stan ILLIT!
