Show Music Core Episode 909
MBC’s Show Music Core (Episode 909) started off Thursday, with one of the best music shows of the year due to the amount and quality of performances. Also, it does look like a new strategy was set for 2025. Groups will drop music on Monday or Wednesday, skip Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s music shows, and start on Thursday or Friday’s music show. Some groups will go on the second week, some will go the third week, and some will skip the early week shows altogether. First, VIVIZ showcased new music on Monday two weeks ago, skipped Tuesday and Wednesday both weeks, and now are starting their third week of promotions on Thursday and now Show Music Core. It’s an interesting strategy that might work.
Next, ifeye performed their comeback “r u ok?”. They have a slightly different strategy where in the first week they just skipped Tuesday and Wednesday. But, in the second week, they went to Wednesday’s music show, but they skipped Thursday’s music show. In today’s performance, Won Hwayeon, the vocalist, shined with her strawberry blonde hair. Hwayeon shined due to her being the only one in a white and blue striped top. Also, check out Hwayeon in their debut track “Nerdy” where she takes a selfie and sings about it. Fighting Hwayeon and ifeye!
Then, HITGS continued their comeback and performed “CHARIZZMA”. VV, the only Chinese member, shined due to her wearing a grey top and her long hair straight, in contrast with her bob cut in the video. Also, VV and HITGS must be tired since they’ve been promoting for almost three months straight. Since there’s no music show tomorrow, hopefully this is HITGS last music show in a while and they can rest. Ja yul VV and all the members of HITGS!
Next, ILLIT continued their promotions of their B-side “jellyous” which had some super intense choreo. Moka, one of the Japanese members, shined due to her outfit of blue sweat suit. Moka did look tired while dancing but with no music show tomorrow, hopefully this is the end of promotions for this comeback. After the last ending fairy, all the members gathered together, said bye, and waved sadly to the camera, hinting that this is the last show.
Then, STAYC performed their comeback “I WANT IT”. STAYC dropped music on Monday, but didn’t start music shows until Thursday, and will finish the first week today, with Show Music Core. Isa shined with her hairstyle being the only one in a bun. They also used her pic as the thumbnail. Finally, Isa was the last ending fairy, giving us an air kiss with one hand making a half heart by her cheek, and giving us a final wink.
Finally, Purple Kiss performed their comeback “DOREMI”. Yuki, the only Japanese member, shined due to her singing even though she’s the rapper. Also, she was the only one wearing A white top. Yuki was also in “Queendom Puzzle” so her experience on that survival show shined.
